I am writing because you deserve to know what the Lord is doing, so you can keep praying.
I did not want to write this. Not because the news is bad, but because it is a major change.
For almost 5 years, Jordan Sweezer has served as a One Life For Life missionary on the sidewalk in Grand Rapids, Michigan. More than 150 babies have been saved. Men and women have come to Christ. And we have heard many reports of these same men and women still walking faithfully with the Lord.
If you want to see some of those stories, they are on our Real Stories page. It is dedicated to true accounts of obedience, mercy, and the children who lived.
This ministry exists to raise men up through the local church, equip them, and send them to abortion mills with the Gospel. The Lord shapes these missionaries while they serve. Then, in some cases, He leads them to another mission field.
Jordan is becoming a full-time evangelist for his local church and will no longer be a One Life For Life missionary. His church is sending him to seminary to prepare.
It is sad to see him move on. It has also been a joy to watch God work through him as he has grown in Christ and served so many men, women, and children over the years.
Here is the point.
You help raise men up and send them out. Even if it is through your prayers and encouragement. You help prepare them as they step out in faithfulness. Why would this change be any different? We are called to follow Him.
If you have been giving to Grand Rapids, we encourage you to keep giving. Those gifts will now support the work at the abortion mills in Flint Michigan, and Orlando Florida.
Pray for both Jordan and One Life For Life during this transition, and pray that the Lord would raise up more missionaries to serve at abortion mills across the United States.If you know someone who may be called, please have them fill out an application.
There is more work to be done, brothers and sisters. More babies to be saved. More Gospel to be preached.
